Starlit Point Wedding | Malena & Brendan’s Faith-Filled Manitoba Wedding

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Many are beautiful because of the people.

Malena and Brendan’s wedding at Starlit Point was both.

From the moment I photographed their engagement session, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. These two have a way of bringing joy wherever they go. They’re adventurous, goofy, and completely themselves when they’re together, which made documenting their wedding day such a gift.

As a Manitoba wedding photographer, one of my favourite parts of this job is getting to witness the unique ways couples celebrate their love story. Malena and Brendan’s day was filled with genuine laughter, excitement, and a deep sense of purpose that made every part of the celebration memorable.

A Faith-Filled Wedding Day at Starlit Point

One of the moments that stands out most from their wedding day happened immediately after they exchanged vows.

Before heading into the rest of the celebration, the very first thing Malena and Brendan did as husband and wife was lead their family and friends in worship.

It was such a powerful and beautiful moment to witness.

The ceremony was filled with gratitude, joy, and the presence of the people who had supported them throughout their journey. It wasn’t a performance or a planned photo opportunity—it was simply an authentic reflection of who they are and the foundation they are building their marriage on.

As someone who loves documenting faith-based weddings, moments like these are incredibly meaningful to photograph because they tell a deeper story than posed portraits ever could.

Exploring Starlit Point for Wedding Portraits

One of my favourite parts of the day was exploring the Starlit Point property together.

The venue offered so many incredible locations for portraits, and instead of rushing from spot to spot, we took our time wandering through the property and discovering beautiful backdrops along the way.

The portrait portion of their day felt less like a photoshoot and more like an adventure. Those are often my favourite moments to photograph because that’s when couples relax, connect with one another, and simply having some quality time together.

As a Manitoba wedding photographer, creating a fun and comfortable experience is incredibly important to me. When couples feel at ease, the images naturally become more genuine and have way more meaning to my couples.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings Like This

When I look back through this gallery, what stands out most isn’t just how beautiful the venue was or how perfect the weather turned out.

It’s the joy.

The joy in their vows.

The joy in worshipping together.

The joy in celebrating with family and friends.

The joy in every laugh, hug, and quiet moment throughout the day.

Those are the memories that they will remember years from now.

As a wedding photographer serving Manitoba and Winnipeg couples, my goal is always to create photographs that help couples remember not only what their wedding day looked like, but bring them back to what it felt like.
