Last September, I had the privilege of photographing Zach and Sierra’s wedding at The White Poplar in Selkirk. Located just outside the city, this venue is surrounded by Manitoba’s natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for a fall wedding. The luscious green grass, mature trees, and timeless charm provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration, especially as the trees began to turn.
One of the highlights of this wedding was having my husband join me as a second shooter. Not only did he capture unique angles and candid moments I can’t typically get on my own, but he also helped operate our drone, allowing us to create stunning aerial shots of the venue and Sierra and Zach. These images added a unique perspective to their wedding gallery!
Zach and Sierra are two clients that have turned into friends throughout the years, one of my favourite things that happens with this job! Their wedding was filled with intentional moments, from the joy that Zach had as he saw his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle, to the vows exchanged under the open sky, every moment of Zach and Sierra’s wedding was a testament to their love and the support of their friends and family. As the golden hour bathed the venue in soft, warm light, we snuck away for a quick portrait session, capturing their pure joy they had as their day was coming to an end.
