How to Book Your Wedding Photographer in Manitoba

If you’re a 2026 bride in Manitoba, you’re probably knee-deep in wedding planning. Finding the perfect venue, choosing your dress, and, of course—booking the right photographer!

Your wedding photos are one of the few things that last long after your wedding day. But the process of booking a photographer shouldn’t feel overwhelming—it should be exciting and stress-free!

As a Manitoba wedding photographer, I make the process seamless so you can focus on enjoying your engagement. Here’s exactly what happens when you book with me!

Step 1: What Happens After You Inquire?

1. Response & Consultation Call

Once you inquire, I’ll reply within 72 hours with more details about my availability and pricing. If I’m available, I’ll invite you to hop on a quick call.

This isn’t a sales call—it’s a chance for us to chat, go over your vision, and see if we’re the perfect fit. Your wedding photographer is the person you’ll spend most of your wedding day with, so it’s important that we click!

2. Custom Proposal & Booking

If you’re feeling like we’re a good fit, I’ll send over a proposal with package options that suit your wedding day. Once you’ve chosen your package, you’ll:

  • Sign the contract (this protects both of us!)
  • Pay the retainer (this officially secures your date)
  • Get a celebratory email from me—you’re officially booked!

3. Happy Mail & Wedding Planning Guide

Once you’re booked, I’ll ask you to confirm your mailing address because I LOVE surprising my couples with happy mail!

Inside, you’ll find my Wedding Planning Guide—a resource packed with tips on wedding timelines, engagement session prep, and how to get the best photos possible. It’s my way of making sure you feel prepared and stress-free leading up to your big day!

Step 2: What Happens After You’re Booked?

Engagement Session Planning

We’ll start planning your engagement session—a chance for you to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding! I’ll help with:

  • Location ideas (The Pathway in Carman, Lake Minnewasta in Morden, Bird’s Hill Park, etc.)
  • Outfit recommendations
  • Posing guidance to capture your love naturally

Timeline Planning & Photo Prep

About a month before your wedding, I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire filled with all the important questions to make sure every part of your wedding photography is planned out and thought through.

Once you’ve filled it out, we’ll hop on a call to go over everything together. During this call, we’ll create a photo-friendly timeline that ensures your day flows smoothly—without feeling rushed. We’ll plan ahead for key moments, build in buffer time in case we’re running behind, and make sure we’re capturing every moment that matters most. This way, you can feel relaxed and fully present, knowing I’ve got the timeline covered!

I’m Here to Make This Easy for You

Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but when it comes to photography, my goal is to make everything seamless, stress-free, and actually fun. I believe that your wedding photos should capture not just how your day looks, but how it feels—the excitement, the love, the quiet in-between moments.

From the moment you inquire to the final delivery of your wedding gallery, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Whether it’s helping with timeline planning, making you feel comfortable in front of the camera, or ensuring no detail is overlooked, I’ve got you. Your only job? To soak in every moment and trust that I’ll be there to capture it beautifully.

If you’re planning your 2026 wedding in Manitoba and want a photographer who truly cares about your experience, I’d love to chat with you! Let’s create something beautiful together. Inquire here
